After breakfast, your Iran Highlights Tour begins with a visit to the magnificent Golestan Palace, one of Tehran’s oldest and most beautiful royal complexes.
Every tile and mirror of this UNESCO World Heritage Site reflects centuries of Persian art and history. Once the coronation place of Qajar kings, the palace still amazes visitors with its dazzling halls, gardens, and architectural masterpieces.
Next, step into the lively atmosphere of the Grand Bazaar of Tehran, dating back to the Safavid era and later expanded during the reign of Naser al-Din Shah.
Its maze-like alleys, traditional domed ceilings, and colorful shops showcase the vibrant heart of Tehran’s economy and the essence of Iranian-Islamic architecture.
Take your time to explore, interact with local merchants, and maybe enjoy a cup of Persian tea in one of the bazaar’s old cafés.
In the evening, experience modern Tehran at the stunning Nature Bridge (Tabiat Bridge) — a contemporary landmark connecting two city parks.
Its organic design, inspired by nature itself, offers breathtaking views of Tehran’s skyline, especially at sunset. Overnight: Tehran
Day 3: Tehran-Hamedan| Stop in Qazvin
We leave Tehran and drive toward Hamedan. On the way, we stop in Qazvin, a city full of history and art.
First, we visit Chehel Sotoun Palace (Kolah Farangi), the only palace left from the time of Shah Tahmasb in the Safavid era.
It’s built in an octagonal shape in a big garden. The walls of the first floor have amazing paintings from the Qazvin school. Today, the palace is home to the Museum of Calligraphy. Next, we go to the Jame Mosque of Qazvin (Masjid-e Jame Atiq). This mosque has a beautiful turquoise dome, two tiled minarets, and eight naves. It started small but grew bigger over time, especially during the Safavid period.
After exploring Qazvin, we continue to Hamedan for the night. Overnight: Hamedan
Day 4: Hamedan| Ali-Sadr Cave & Ganjnameh
Today, we visit the incredible Ali-Sadr Cave, one of the largest water caves in the world. Geologists believe the cave dates back to the Jurassic period. Inside the cave, there is no animal life, and the water contains many calcareous salts, so it is not drinkable. The temperature inside is constant at about 12°C, making it comfortable to explore all year round. You can enjoy a boat ride inside the cave, marveling at the stunning rock formations.
After the cave tour, we have lunch at Ali-Sadr Jahangardi Hotel. Then, we explore the pottery workshops and shops in Laleh Jin, a town famous for its traditional Persian pottery.
In the evening, enjoy a night walk at the Ganjnameh complex, where you can see a beautiful waterfall and the ancient Achaemenid inscriptions of Ganjnameh. Overnight: Hamedan
Day 5: Hamedan-Kermanshah| Ancient Temples & Inscriptions

We start with the Chogha Zanbil Ziggurat, one of the few remaining Elamite ziggurats in the world. Then, we visit the Apadana Mound, the Tomb of Daniel, and Haft Tepe, each offering a unique glimpse into the rich history of ancient Persia. After the tour, we continue to Ahvaz for the night. Overnight: Ahvaz
Day 7: Ahwaz-Shiraz| Visit Bishapur
In the morning, we drive toward Shiraz, stopping along the way to visit Bishapur, an ancient city famous for its Sassanid-era ruins and historical reliefs. After exploring Bishapur, we will continue to Shiraz, where you will spend the night. Overnight: Shiraz
Day 8: Shiraz| Mosques, Gardens & Poetry
After breakfast, we start the Shiraz city tour with a visit to the stunning Nasir-al-Mulk Mosque (Pink Mosque). When sunlight passes through its colorful glass windows, the mosque becomes a magical, rainbow-filled space — one of the best spots for photography in Shiraz.
Next, we explore the Vakil Complex, which includes the Vakil Bath, Vakil Mosque, and Vakil Bazaar. Here, you can shop for beautiful souvenirs and taste local specialties. We recommend enjoying lunch at one of Shiraz’s charming traditional restaurants, such as Sharzeh or Ghavam, to experience authentic Iranian cuisine.
In the evening, we visit the Tombs of Hafez and Saadi, two of Iran’s most famous poets. Don’t miss the ice cream shops near Saadi’s tomb for a sweet treat. Day 10: Yazd| Zoroastrian Heritage & Historic Sites
Today, we explore the ancient city of Yazd, the first mud-brick city in Iran and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Yazd is famous for its unique traditional architecture and well-preserved old town, making it a favorite destination for travelers.
Our first stop is the Tower of Silence (Zoroastrian Tower), located on a sedimentary hill called the Castle of Zoroastrians. Historically, this was a sacred site where Zoroastrians left their deceased to return to nature, following their beliefs.
Next, we visit the Jame Mosque of Yazd, built over nearly 100 years across three periods. This mosque was one of the main centers of the Sassanid government and showcases beautiful Persian-Islamic architecture.
We then head to Amir Chakhmaq Square, a lively area with historic monuments and tall minarets, representing the heart of Yazd’s old city.

Our tour of Imam Square continues at the Qeisarieh Bazaar, where you can browse and buy fantastic handicrafts to take home as souvenirs. We recommend taking a short break at Chah-e Haj Mirza or Azadegan Tea House, located just outside the square. These teahouses are filled with antiques and old decorations, and you can enjoy traditional drinks like Dogh (a sour yogurt drink) and sweets like Goshfil.

The cathedral is a beautiful blend of Iranian and Armenian architecture, with walls and ceilings adorned with oil paintings and gold decorations. Some paintings, inspired by the life of Jesus Christ, show Italian artistic influence.
After exploring the cathedral, we drive to Kashan. Our first stop is the Fin Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historic Persian garden is famous for its beautiful water channels and central pavilion, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
