This square dates back to the ninth century AH and the reign of the Timurids and was built by a person with the same name Amir Jalaluddin Chakhmaq. Dowlat Abad Garden

Dowlat Abad Garden is one of the nine Iranian gardens whose name has been registered in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The tall mansion of this garden has the tallest windmills in the world and is very valuable in terms of architecture. This garden is one of the oldest gardens in Iran, which is 260 years old and its area is ​​6.4 hectares. When you enter this garden, you will not feel that you are in the desert city of Yazd and the smell of flowers and plants will intoxicate you.

Lariha House (Khan-e Lari)

Lariha House is another attraction of Yazd, which is one of the most valuable houses of the Qajar era about 150 years old. The area of Khan-e Lari is 1700 square meters.

The ceilings of this house have been embellished with mirror work and paintings. The rooms of the Lari House are situated around the main courtyard, which has a large pool in the center. The house has a big basement, which is ventilated by the windcatcher and remains cool during the warmer months of the year. Lari-Ha House is one of the original samples of Persian architecture and was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran in 1375.

Ziaieh School or Alexander Prison

There is a building in Yazd with two different names, which indicates the dual use of this valuable historical building. Some believe that this building was built in the eighth century in 631 AH and its construction was completed in 705 AH. Ziaieh School was a place for teaching more than seven hundred years ago and has hosted meetings such as discussions with elders and scholars. It is said that the name of Alexander Prison was created as a result of the arrival of a group of Alexander’s exiles in Yazd, and of course other factors such as climatic features and Yazd’s distance from large and busy centers. This valuable historical monument was registered in the list of national monuments of Iran in 1346.

Zoroastrian fire temple (Varham Fire Temple)

The fire temple is a kind of Zoroastrian shrine where the fire has a particular value. The main building of the fire temple is located in the center of the courtyard, 21 meters above the ground.

Upon entering the building, you will see the walls adorned with images of Zoroaster and quotes from the Avestan Book, and a little further you will run into the sacred fire. The fire that is 1500 years old has not been extinguished! The fire temple of Varham, known as the fire temple of Bahram, is a place for keeping the sacred Zoroastrian fire and a place of worship for Zoroastrians. Tower of silence (Zoroastrian Tower)

Another attraction of Yazd is the Tower of silence. Zoroastrian Tower is a tower located on a sedimentary mountain called Dakhmeh Mountain and was a place of worship for Zoroastrians at that time. It is also the place where the Zoroastrians placed their dead bodies to be eaten by animals and birds and returned to the cycle of nature.

Yazd Water Museum

Yazd water museum date back to the Qajar Dynasty, located in the center of the city in front of Amir Chakhmaq Complex. As you know Yazd is well-known for its underground aqueducts (in Persian Qanats). In 2000, the mansion turned into a museum. You will see the tool and techniques used for the past 4000 years in Iran in creating underground waterways ( Qanats) and connecting them to the city.
